Good to know
Before you build
A few things are worth sorting out before you build in Maple Ridge. If you live in a townhome or strata, check with your strata council first, since many have rules about fence styles and colours. For a fence on a shared property line, it’s a good idea to talk with your neighbours early. The City’s Zoning Bylaw also limits fence heights, and taller decks, or decks with glass railings or a roof, may need a permit and an engineer’s design. We’ll walk you through what applies to your property at your free estimate.
